Organised by the Centre for Child Studies at the Institute of Family Therapy Pat Crittenden: Ph.D. in Psychology; Author of nearly 100 publications; Currently teaching internationally on attachment, assessment of attachment across the lifespan, and applications of attachment theory for psychotherapists.
We are delighted to welcome back Dr Crittenden whose presentation at IFT in 2007 was so well received. This 5-day course introduces the Dynamic-Maturational Model (DMM) of attachment and adaptation and ties it to risk assessment and treatment.
An array of patterns of attachment relationships and strategies for self-protection from infancy to adulthood (including old age) is presented together with a discussion of cultural influences on the distribution of patterns.
The course is suitable for professionals and paraprofessionals in all helping professions: psychology, psychiatry, social work, nursing, play therapy, counselling, education, day care, etc.
