Systemic Thinking: Navigating Through Complexity
Systemic Thinking: Navigating Through Complexity10th and 11th March, 2008Marilyn Herasymowych: Master of Continuing Education, specializing in learning in the workplace. Henry Senko: MBA, core focus on emergent strategy in organisations. Both Marilyn and Henry are authors and applied research consultants, both are founders and managing partners of the MHA Institute Inc.Often, people within organisations solve problems without understanding the problem in the context of the larger system. When this happens, the solution to the problem is seldom sustainable in the long term, and can even create other problems. The reason that the solution fails is not because people do not know what to do. Solutions often fail because people do not take the entire system in consideration. Systems thinking is based on an understanding of the system dynamics, and how to work within constraints and challenges that are created by systems dynamics. This I courses is designed to take you through an easy step – by – step processes of understanding and using systems thinking. |
