Agency Based Training
The Institute offers an extensive Agency Based Training Programme. The Trainings are designed to meet the requirements of the agency.
Introductory Courses
The 'Introduction to working systemically with families' course can be structured to meet the equivalent requirements of the Institute's Year 1 course.
Continuing courses can also be offered in the agency, and where appropriate, may lead to a Birkbeck Certificate enabling successful participants to apply for a qualifying course in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy.
Short Courses and Workshops
The Institute offers short courses and workshops in specialist areas of therapeutic work. These courses are designed to meet the needs of the agency and staff group and are structured following consultation and planning with the agency.
Consultation and Supervision
We offer consultation to work groups and organisations to help with practice issues.
Consultation and supervision are available for practitioners in their work settings. This service can be arranged for individuals and groups.
Overseas Training
The Institute offers courses overseas in collaboration with service providers and training institutions in the host country. Courses are from introductory to advanced clinical training levels, and on specialist practice issues.
Continued Professional Development Groups
The Institute runs a number of consultation groups for qualified practitioners. These are designed to fulfil the criteria for continued professional development consultation as laid down by UKCP. Further details on request.
